The Cedars ski resort area is Lebanon’s oldest and probably most scenic one. Situated in the North part of Mount Lebanon, it peaks at over 3000 meters making the ski season there slightly longer than the one in Faraya Mzaar. The runs too, are slightly longer at the Cedars ski resort.

Of course visiting the Cedars area is not just about skiing or snowboarding. The ancient grove of Cedar trees that adorns part of the area is a "must visit" for everyone. And to anyone remotely interested in the cultural tradition of Lebanon, the Becharre (also spelled Bcharry, Bsharry, Bsharri or Besharreh) village on the edge of the Qadisha Valley, is the birthplace of author Khalil Gibran, one of the towering figures of Lebanese literature.
